Welcome to a dedicated website to the 'Lickey Incline'.

The Lickey Incline is a short 2 and a half mile stretch of railway line with a rich history. Found between Bromsgrove & Blackwell in the county of Worcestershire in England.

Its significance is found in the gradient it climbs for the 2 and a half miles.

It is the steepest mainline gradient on Britain's railway network.

Attracting Enthusiasts country wide to hear the sound of a locomotive battling against gravity on their way to the Summit.

Originally made famous by its sharp climb of 1 in 37ft. & the age old practice of 'banking'.
